Hi, I'm Melissa.

Living with autoimmune issues, chronic illness, or pain is challenging, to say the least. Through my own autoimmunity journey, yoga and meditation have helped me learn how to trust myself as I became more embodied.

By listening and responding to my ever-changing body with compassion, as well as humor and therapy, I began to change my mindset and spirit. Through that, I changed my life.

It's my goal to bring you classes and courses that encourage curiosity, healing, and self-compassion.

I'm a certified 500-hour yoga teacher from Brett Larkin's Uplifted program. Prior to my yoga teacher training, I had practiced yoga, meditation, and mindfulness years before my autoimmune diagnosis.

"Melissa does a great job conveying the poses and providing alternatives. Thank you!"

-Avery, Yoga Practitioner

"I have chronic illnesses and finding people who can help me in my recovery and maintenance who truly have an understanding of this experience is important to me. Melissa knows how to provide a full yoga experience for my goals and limitations and I can feel the difference in my nervous system by the end of a session. Working with Melissa is not like going to a yoga class at the gym; her sessions have a healing quality to them that I much prefer. Thank you, Melissa!"

Frequently asked questions

Great question. I encourage you to ask your doctor if you are able to practice restorative yoga, such as Yin Yoga or Yoga Nidra.

Yes! You can use sturdy books and/or pillows to help you ease into a stretch. Blankets, pillows (and more pillows), and an eye mask are some of favorite props to use when practicing Yoga Nidra.
